Advertising Inside Sales Representative

RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing, acquisition, and sale of classified advertising primarily by phone. Build client relationships by problem solving and negotiation techniques to assure customer satisfaction, while maintaining profitability standards. Promote special products, upsell frequency and linage to increase ad prominence and visibility through use of personal sales skills, along with knowledge of product features, rates, and benefits. Assist clients in composing copy for their advertisements.

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in sales or marketing preferred. Six months telemarketing or sales experience, preferably in media environment. Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills. Ability to type 40 WPM and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Previous experience with MILES database system preferred. Candidates for this position must be motivated, detail-oriented and have the ability to work under deadline pressure.

Recruitment Advertising Account Executive

We are looking for an assertive, self-motivated outside sales professional with experience in media, advertising or recruitment/staffing sales to increase new business and grow existing accounts. Will achieve sales goals through the sale of print, on line and custom publication. Prospecting will be a key focus. The right candidate will have professional presentation skills, be highly motivated, and organized. Must possess market knowledge and three years of related outside sales experience, preferably in recruitment or media sales. This position offers a base salary plus commission.

Part-time Sales Assistant

The Sales Assistant will support the Advertising/Vertical Markets division by inputting orders into the Mactive front end system, changing and tracking ads, maintaining copy flow, responding to phone calls, and performing other sales support functions. Sales Assistants will be responsible for inputting copy from Classifieds Plus and AdStar our outside ad service companies. They will also regularly take ad copy from Account Executives and advertisers and make ad changes by phone, fax or email on ad proofs or liner ads. They will perform other duties as needed to assist the Classified/Vertical Markets division in maintaining and servicing advertisers.

REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma and six months related experience and/or equivalent. Candidates must be able to type 55 w.p.m. Must be knowledgeable with word processing and spreadsheet programs. Candidates must possess professional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact well with internal and external customers. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in a deadline oriented environment are required. The work schedules are Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Thursday, 10:0 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Friday, 12:00 am – 6:00 p.m., however, flexibility is required, including the ability to work weekends. Instructional Design Manager

The Advertising Training & Development team is responsible for developing advertising staff, from teaching product knowledge and job skills at the point of hire to developing leadership and professional skills throughout career progression.

  • Design and execute sales and sales management training and professional development initiatives.
  • Identify development needs, design, customize and/or develop training and professional development initiatives to incorporate sales strategies and sales competencies.
  • Monitor the linkage between the sales curriculum and improved learner job performance.
  • Analyze adult education principles and theories, identify appropriate instructional methods and select multiple learning formats including on-line courses, self-study and blended learning opportunities.
Requires… Bachelor’s degree in related field + five years experience. Management and/or instructional design experience, along with solid skills in creating training materials required; experience in sales training environment is highly desirable. Position requires use of own vehicle to work from multiple locations, valid driver’s license and state mandated insurance.
