To submit a notice to be included in the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News, please complete the form below.

Pricing: The rate to place a death notice in the newspaper on our home delivery days, Sunday, Thursday or Friday, is $12.00 per line. The rate for a death notice on days we sell the newspaper at retail outlets and in news boxes, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday, is $8.00 per line.

Online Only Notices are available for $49. These include photo, full text and a guestbook.

All rates include Michigan's most trusted resource for online death notices at detroitmedia.com/deathnotices, a service of the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News.

Upon receipt of your request, a representative will contact you within 30 minutes to confirm the notice and review billing information.

Notice must be submitted by the following times to appear on the requested day:

Monday > 3:15 p.m. Sunday
Tuesday-Friday > 5:45 p.m. previous day
Saturday > 3:45 p.m. Friday
Sunday > 3:15 p.m. Saturday

For photos submit by:

Monday > 2:30 p.m. Saturday
Tuesday-Friday > 5:30 p.m. previous day
Saturday > 3:30 Friday
