WAYS TO SEND ADS

Production at Detroit Media Partnership is 100% MacIntosh, and supports virtually every Mac application. It is recommended that advertisers supply ads in the Acrobat (PDF) format via electronic ad delivery.

Detroit Media Partnership DOES NOT accept ads via a generic e-mail address due to the high-volume of ads received electronically. Detroit Media Partnership accepts electronic/digital files delivered in .pdf format via any of the following:

  1. AdTracker Online
    • no fee, no registration
  2. Ad Transit
    • no fee , registration required
  3. Ad Send
    • fee and registration

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Always embed all fonts and graphics into the PDF when distilling your document. Detroit Media Partnership distiller settings can be emailed to you upon request or you can simply click here to download the settings and any other technical specifications you may require.

ELECTRONIC AD DELIVERY OPTIONS:

AdTracker

1) AdTracker Online is the preferred method of ad delivery. It is a web-based interface that allows users to upload ads directly to Detroit Media Partnership ad production system with all of the email receipt functions of AdTransit and other electronic ad delivery vendors. There is NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED and, of course, IT'S FREE... simply go to http://ads.detroitmedia.com and follow the simple instructions.

2) AdTransit: Currently Detroit Media Partnership pays any costs associated with transmitting ads even after the "no-cost trial period" runs out. This FREE to the customer option also provides excellent ticketing and order processing.

  1. Go to www.adtransit.com and click on registration tab to register.
  2. Ignore approval time (it's immediate) and anything regarding costs... Detroit Media Partnership pays for customers to use AdTransit.
  3. Save your username and password created during registration.
  4. When you are done and ready to send .pdf file (Ad), go to www.adtransit.com and click the login tab. Proceed from there.
  5. You will receive confirmation of upload and e-mail notification when we've opened your ad.

AP Ad Send

3) AdSend: Advertisers call 1-800-TADSEND (Detroit Media Partnership's sending code is MIDTN). AdSend has fees associated with it, and is generally used by agencies wishing to distribute an ad to many newspapers at once, not smaller local retailers. For more information, visit AdSend's website.

NOTE: Quark documents MUST have all fonts and graphics included on the disc and be accompanied by a proof of the ad for reference.
